Course Description
Every life is full of stories worth telling. In this five-week class, that’s exactly what we’ll do: tell them. In Spanish.
Using our Comprehensible Input approach, we’ll spend these weeks in the territory of the past: sharing memories, recounting experiences, building narratives together. You’ll find yourself moving more naturally between describing what was happening and what actually happened, which is the rhythm of real storytelling in Spanish.
No grammar charts. No drills. Just the kind of immersive, story-rich input that lets your brain sort out the patterns on its own, the way it was always meant to.
A note for those who know what they’re looking for: If you’ve been wrestling with when to use the preterite versus the imperfect, this class will help. Not by teaching you rules, but by immersing you in exactly the kind of language where those distinctions live naturally.
Rebecca Rice brings warmth, humor, and deep expertise in the CI (Comprehensible Input) approach to every class. This is a space where you can stretch, make mistakes without self-consciousness, and feel your Spanish growing in real time.
Best for:
- Intermediate Spanish speakers who can hold a conversation but want their storytelling (and their past tenses) to feel more fluid and natural
- Anyone who has been in Spanish classes for a while and wants to bring more of their real life into the language
Classes are recorded, so a missed class is never a missed week.
