This class is designed for intermediate learners. You can now comprehend a lot of French and you feel you are ready to speak. You have reached the “intermediate plateau” and you want to move on!
Boost your confidence in speaking French. Each session is unique:
- Listen to a compelling story to get rich and abundant French input.
- Read the story to acquire a lot of vocabulary and structures effortlessly.
- Get to use more complex structures to talk about a wide range of topics.
- Breathing breaks to allow you to relax and “digest” the new language!
Don’t worry there will be framing and scaffolding for everyone to understand the class.
The goal is to develop fluency as well as the ability to process the language spontaneously.
There is no pressure to speak! As French comprehension expands and expands, speaking will spontaneously happen. ” Speaking is a result of language acquisition and not its cause.” (Krashen, 1985).
The class is designed for adults, but is also open to high school students.
Classes will be recorded, so you can watch at your leisure if you need to miss a class.
