Gain confidence speaking French!
This class is designed for intermediate learners. You can now comprehend a lot of French and you feel you are ready to speak. You have reached the “intermediate plateau” and you want to move on!
Boost your confidence in talking in French. Each session is unique:
- Get rich and abundant French input from an article,story or short movie;
- Enhance your speaking abilities through guided discussions;
- Gain cultural insights into French society and diverse perspectives;
- Build confidence in expressing complex ideas in French.
Don’t worry there will be framing and scaffolding for everyone to understand the class.
The goal is to develop fluency as well as the ability to process the language spontaneously.
There is no pressure to speak! As French comprehension expands and expands, speaking will spontaneously happen. ” Speaking is a result of language acquisition and not its cause.” (Krashen, 1985).
The class is designed for adults, but is also open to high school students.
Classes will be recorded, so you can watch at your leisure if you need to miss a class.
You will need to download Zoom (free) in order to attend. We will send you a link before the first class.
